You open the curtains in the morning, but instead of a calm sea, you see drops running down the windowpane and pines swaying outside. The forecast for the whole day: rain. The first thought is usually the same - a day of your holiday wasted. Is it worth clinging to it?

By the Baltic Sea, the weather can change within fifteen minutes. Rain rarely lasts here from morning until evening, but even a few hours are enough to rule out a day at the beach. However, a rainy day by the sea does not have to mean boredom at all. Below you will find ideas for spending your free time at PINEA Resort and within a radius of several dozen kilometres. We recommend indoor places whose operation does not depend on what the precipitation radar shows.

What to do in Pobierowo when it rains - attractions at PINEA Resort

The resort stands directly by the beach, surrounded by pine forest. On a sunny day, this is an obvious advantage: you step outside before breakfast and, moments later, you are standing on warm sand. When the weather quickly turns rainy, it soon becomes clear that, apart from the beach, you have a whole range of attractions on site.

Pools and water area

The water area is the first choice when it is pouring outside. It is open every day from 10:00 to 21:00, regardless of how many degrees the thermometer on the balcony shows.

You have three pools at your disposal. The sports pool is 1.5 to 1.85 metres deep - if you like swimming your kilometres, this is the place for you. The recreational pool is 1.1 metres deep, so you can stand securely and chat or calmly teach the youngest children to swim. The paddling pool is 40 centimetres deep - a three-year-old can reach the bottom, while a parent does not have to spend an hour bent over.

There are also two large hydromassage jacuzzi tubs and a relaxation area with loungers. In the afternoons, from 17:00, the sauna area opens - four facilities: two aromatherapy saunas, a sauna with a brine graduation tower and a steam bath. The sauna aroma is inspired by the seaside forest, the same one that grows outside the window. It is worth remembering this when planning your day: swim in the morning and at midday, and spend time in the sauna after 17:00.

SPA and relaxation area

A rainy afternoon can be the best time for a treatment that seemed too time-consuming on a sunny day. The PINEA SPA treatment room is open Monday to Thursday from 9:00-19:00, on Fridays and Saturdays until 21:00, and on Sundays from 10:00 to 18:00.

The treatment menu includes classic and relaxing massages, oriental treatments - Lomi Lomi, Ayurvedic Abhyanga, Thai massage and shiatsu - as well as body rituals combining a scrub with a massage. Facial care is based on Phytomer cosmetics.

A separate option is KIDS Spa. Children aged 6 to 13 can enjoy an aromatherapy massage, while teenagers aged 14 and over have their own version. On a rainy day, this solves the problem of a teenager who does not want to go to the pool for the third time.

It is worth booking treatments in advance - on rainy days, appointments fill up faster.

Playroom and attractions for children

The playroom is next to the restaurant and has glass walls. It may sound like a detail, but it has a direct effect on your peace of mind at the table: you eat lunch and can see your child instead of checking every five minutes where they have disappeared to.

Older children have a games area with table football, table tennis and arcade machines. It also works well for adults who suddenly remember that they used to play pretty well. During selected periods, the resort runs activities with entertainers; if these are particularly important to you, ask reception about the dates before arrival.

Parents of the youngest guests will find cots and baby bathtubs on site. You can read more about facilities for children in the section for the youngest guests.

What can you do in Pobierowo outside the resort? Attractions in the area

If you want to go out, rain does not have to thwart your plans at all. Attractions in Pobierowo and the surrounding area are not limited to outdoor activities; there are also places that operate regardless of rainfall - some in the town itself, others within a short drive.

The parrot house in Pobierowo is the nearest option - it is located on Jana z Kolna Street, by the beach access, so you can walk there. The parrots fly freely around the enclosed hall and can be fed. A standard ticket costs 30 zlotys, a reduced ticket 26, and a family ticket for two adults and two children - 89 zlotys. Opening hours change seasonally, so it is worth checking the Google listing before setting out.

MuzeON in Trzęsacz - a multimedia museum on the cliff, located around ten kilometres from the resort. The exhibition tells the story of the church whose ruins stand right next to it. The temple, built at the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries, stood 1800 metres from the seashore. In 1750, the cliff was 53 metres away. In 1820 - thirteen. The last service was held on 2 August 1874, after which the residents themselves dismantled the roof and removed the windows; they knew they had lost to the sea and wanted to save what they could. In 1901, the northern wall collapsed into the water. Today, the last fragment of the southern wall remains, secured in 2001 by the “Ratujmy Trzęsacz” foundation. Standard ticket: 29 zlotys.

The Maritime Fisheries Museum in Niechorze occupies a former German villa. There you will see an octant, fishing traps and a preserved Baltic shark - a spiny dogfish that still swims in our sea today. In March 2026, the museum opened its attic to visitors.

Kapitol in Gryfice combines a 3D cinema, bowling alley and restaurant in one building. A complete solution for a rainy evening with teenagers. You will find the programme on the cinema's website.

Sandra SPA Aquapark in Pogorzelica admits outside guests. One hour costs 25 zlotys on weekdays and 40 zlotys at weekends and on public holidays. Some of the pools are covered, while others are outdoors.

Further east, in Międzyzdroje, there is the Eva cinema, while the Wax Figures Cabinet is located on the ground floor of the same building.

What to do in Pobierowo when the weather improves

Clouds clear quickly by the Baltic Sea. When the rain stops, the beach awaits just a few steps from the exit - wide and sandy, with a gentle descent into the water. After rain, the sand is compact and firm, so walking on it is easier than in hot weather.

This is, in fact, the moment for which some people come here outside the high season. After a storm, the air becomes dense and salty, and the wind carries sea spray far inland. This is precisely what Pobierowo owes its reputation to - for generations, people have come here to breathe more deeply and relax. You only need to stand on the shore after a windy night to understand where this reputation comes from.

A pine forest begins behind the resort. Paths between the trees provide shelter from the wind, and after rainfall the air smells of resin and wet pine needles. You can rent bicycles and scooters on site.

Further east stands the lighthouse in Niechorze - 45 metres of red brick, an observation terrace at a height of 35.7 metres, and more than two hundred steps. It has been shining since 1 December 1866. Climbing it makes sense in good visibility, so save it for the day after the rain. A seaside narrow-gauge railway also runs from Rewal, daily until the end of September.
